Willard Middle School Cross Country

This years Willard Middle School Cross Country teams season is coming to a close. This year has been better than past years, placing in the top fifteen runners in every race in which they competed. I had the opportunity to have a few words with some of the players and hear what they thought of their team. Let’s see what they said.

I got to interview two of the eighth grade runners, Fernando Huerta and Jordan Sweet, who have been running cross country for two years now. “We had a rough start, but towards the end we started practicing really hard and began to place higher in the races” Fernando Huerta stated about this year’s cross country team. Jordan Sweet responded, “Great, because we have a lot of great runners and have been practicing very hard.” The Willard Middle School’s Cross Country team will soon be competing in the district championship meet. So make sure you wish them luck as they compete for our school! Go Flashes!
