What It Means To Be Different
Yesterday was emotional. Sam Drazin came to the school to tell us about his life as a child. Sam was born deformed with Treacher Collins Syndrome which caused him to have tiny ears and his jaw not fully developed.
He had a difficult life as a kid. Sam had to get seven surgeries they included nose, mouth, ear, surgeries. Sam couldn’t hear. He needed to use a hearing aid. His eyes were slanted.
He gave us a message to never judge people by their looks and what it means to be different.
