Snow Trails By Hanna Wiles

Every student in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade that got
all A’s and B’s the last 9 weeks got to go to Snow
Trails. When we went to Snow Trails we got to go
tubing down a big hill of snow. During our trip we
tried to beat the record for most people connected
going down the big hill. During our attempt we
had the most people to beat the record, but we
split into three different sections so it did not
count. Everyone who went enjoyed the trip and
it was very fun.

Blizzard Bags By Hanna Wiles & Tianna Tackett

Willard  City Schools has already had  5  snow days this year so far. We only need one more day off  for school to be canceled and we start Blizzard Bags.  We have asked some of our fellow classmates how they think of them and we have had mixed answers. Some say they don't mind them and that they are okay, but others think they are difficult and take a long time to do.

How The Grinch Stole Christmas By Hanna Wiles & Kadance Kirk

The 8th grade ELA gets decorated for Christmas and this year they are
doing “How The Grinch Stole Christmas.” Hanna Wiles and Kadance
Kirk interviewed Mr.Garrett and here are a few things we learned about
it. Mr.Vonkamp and Mr.Garrett came up with the idea to start decorating.
They decorate for Christmas so the Elementary kids (preK-5th grade
and St.Francis) can see Santa.  The 8th grade staff, and willing students
help decorate. It takes a month ½-2 months to decorate. All of the
Christmas trees got donated to the 8th grade and Mr.Garrett thinks that
there are over 100 ornaments on all of the trees put together.
Mr.Garrett’s favorite part is seeing the elementary kids faces lighting
up when they see all the decorations in the ELA. They usually put up
the decorations after Thanksgiving break, and take them down the day
before Christmas break starts.
