8th Grade Invites Elementary Students To The Polar Express

On the last week of school before Christmas, the 8th grade created the Polar Express.  The little kids came into the 8th grade hallway. I was working in the train. We worked so hard on decorating the ELA. I really enjoyed the setup and how it looked with music, snowflakes, Christmas trees, and lights strung across the ELA.  On Monday and Tuesday Santa and Mrs. Claus came for the little kids.

Willard 7th grade volleyball team won in 3 vs Shelby on Thursday. Willard lost game 1  15-25 but rebounded to win game 2 (25-21) and then won game 3 (25-17)

100% servers:  Grace Hall, Jaiden Sexton

Brandi Gahring 6 aces and team leading 9 digs (best defensive game of the year for her)

Erin Stevens 8 digs

Grace Hall had her best game of the year at the net with 6 kills (match ending kill in game 3) and Mya Ousley added a block.

8th Grade Football Results

The 8th grade football team ran their record to 5-1 on the year with a hard fought 14-12 victory over Norwalk Tuesday night.  Willard’s offense struck first when Ashton Ames found the end zone after a short run.   Ames then ran in the two point conversion and the Flashes led 8-0.  Norwalk would then score two straight touchdowns to take a 12-8 lead into halftime.  After a scoreless 3rd quarter,  Ames scored his second TD of the night on a 20 yard run to give the Flashes the lead midway through the 4th quarter.

The 8th grade volleyball team defeated Sandusky in 2 games as well, winning game one 25-5 and game two 25-20.      

100% servers on the night were:

Allison Silcox, Tristin Buurma (also had 7 aces), Stevi Ward, Presley Feltner, Kelcey Dewitt, Paige Albright & McKenna Stephens.  

Come out and show your support on Thursday night, as the ladies take on Tiffin Columbian at home.

The 8th grade volleyball team defeated New Riegel in two games on Tuesday, winning both games with a score of 25-19.  

Kelcey Dewitt was a perfect 8-8 serving.  

Other 100% servers were:  Tristin Buurma, Presley Feltner, Layla Dials, Maliyah Osborne & Lauren Hall (who served an ace to end the game).

Stevi Ward was 13-14 serving with 8 aces.

Abby Hamilton had a great save to keep a ball in play at the net.

Allison Silcox provided 2 great serve receive passes.

Layla Dials led the team in kills with 7.
